One of the most common and versatile of crystals, clear
quartz is also known as crystal quartz or rock crystal. If you only have one crystal in your
collection, this really is the one to have.
Quartz crystals
have piezoelectric
properties, meaning if you vigorously rub two pieces of quartz together you may
see flashes of yellowy/green light which is piezo-electricty. Hence, the quartz clock, crystal radios, microphones
and radio transmitters are everyday devices which use quartz crystal
energy.
Cultures from all over the world, have used clear quartz for
thousands of years. Crystals balls, make
from clear quartz, were said to have magical properties.
Clear quartz encompasses all of the spectrum of colours so
is ideal for any chakra but especially the crown chakra. It plays an important part in crystal grids
also, due to its amplification properties.
Quartz absorbs EMF fields so can provide protection against background
